BSc Chem/Food. Must have 3+ years of exp. as a GC-MS Operator and Quality Controller in manufacturing of fragrances/aroma compounds/ (flavours) and the application thereof in the perfume/cosmetic/toiletry/household chemical industries. Must be able to match fragrances, source molecules, ensure quality according to ISO 9001:2015, recognise problems, and take corrective action. Must be pro-active, very focused on QC and matching, and a strong team player and communicator to collaborate daily with Manufacturing, Sales, and Procurement. Must prepare fragrance and other samples, possibly using solvent extraction techniques such as SPME arrow, identify different substances in test samples, and analyse, interpret, and quantify fragrances using GC-MS. Must interpret quantification of fragrances with relevant software on PC, and provide an analytical report on the fragrances made in the laboratory.Must maintain an up-to-date knowledge of fragrance ingredients and components within the market, keep a detailed library, and add new fragrance ingredients/components to library accordingly. Responsible for instrumentation, general and advance maintenance and performance and trend monitoring of the instructions carried out. Must analyse samples, perform maintenance and troubleshooting, develop analytical methods as necessary and identify opportunities to improve runtime and quality. ND/BTech Food Tech/Micro; FSSC 22 000 v.6; 2-3 yrs exp Food Safety/environmental/pest cntl/MCS/ cleaning/risk/auditing cntl of high risk food/ingredients/flavours/spices; must have excellent workload planning/organisational/people mngt/analytical/communication/problem-solving skills to meet dead-lines. Maintain site FSMS/EMP/FSSC 22 000/ISO 14 000/implement/maintain a FSMS culture/develop/CI co. policies/systems/SOPs/meet requirements of customers/certification bodies/legislation/co. objectives/BOP/ conduct validation of OPRP/CCPs/allergen/cleaning/ fumigation programs/manage test plans for product/environmental monitoring/ensure OPRP/CCPs monitored during production/NC urgency acted upon/achieve FSMS objectives by monitoring/ reviewing/enforcing policies/SOPs. Develop/deliver FS training programs for staff/emphasise BOPs/foster culture of FS awareness/accountability/follow up with staff/ensure refresher training for each role/proficiency testing schemes. Coordinate certification/customer audits/lead FS complaints related investigations/drive/verify RCA/effective CA/PA arising from any NC raised by customers/authorities/internal/external audits.
